Remington Park Update: Everything Is Go

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—JUNE 1, 2013—According to officials in Oklahoma City everything is "GO" for the Remington Park Mega-Card tonight (Saturday). The track was forced to cancel 10 races on Friday's card due to severe thunderstorms.

"I'm guessing we will have a fast track tonight. The track was sealed at Remington Park before the torrential rains hit thanks to quick work of Bobby Blackburn and his crew," Debbie Schauf, Executive Director of OQHRA said Saturday morning.

"They are working on the washes in the horse path to the receiving barn this morning and getting all the drains unclogged and the track should be in great shape for racing tonight."

Everyone racing or attending the races Saturday night are urged to PINK OUT, and help raise money to fight Cancer. There will be a Live Auction in the Eclipse on Suite Level at 7:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome to come up and bid on the Live Auction Items or on the silent auction which will be displayed in the suites hallway.

A silent auction will be open for bidding from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on the Suites Level at Remington Park. There will also be a number of "Betting on a Cure" T Shirts available for sale in the elevator lobby on the Suites level.

Remington Park's 6th race on Saturday's card will be the Betting On A Cure Purse.

"We hope to have the announcer invite any cancer survivors or connections of cancer survivors to the WINNERS CIRCLE after the 6th race for a big group photo with all the riders in their pink silks," Schauf said.
