Q-RACING JOURNAL—APRIL 3, 2014—The TQHA Yearling Sale is typically the first yearling sale of the season, and frequently sees top yearlings sold through its ring.

Most recently, 2013 sale topper Sixes Down, a $76,000 purchase, qualified for the $563,950 Sam Houston Futurity (G2), and 2012 sale topper Daytona B, an $80,000 purchase, qualified to the $167,300 Sam Houston Derby (G3).

This year’s TQHA Yearling Sale is July 25-26 in San Antonio.

Consignment forms for the sale are now available at www.tqha.com. The consignment deadline is May 2.

The sale’s host hotel is Hyatt Place in San Antonio, and a group rate is available. Call 210-930-2333 to reserve a room.
