RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 31, 2014—
G1 Rainbow Futurity winning trainer Wes Giles isn't sure as of yet if his trainee, Trendi, will be contesting the 2014 G1 All American Futurity trials as of yet.

On July 20, 2014 the two-year-old daughter of Stoli broke solidly from post-position 3, and motored down the Ruidoso Downs racecourse to hold off a hard charging Kiss My Hocks to capture victory in the G1 event. The time of :19.525 for the four hundred yards earned her a speed index of 96 for the effort. With the trials for the G1 $2.6 million All American Futurity 14 days away, the winning trainer is still seeing how the Jerry Windham-bred filly comes back from her first stakes victory.

"She came back from the race good, but she was a little tired," said trainer Wes Giles.

"As of right now, she has seemed to be back to herself, and hopefully she will continue to get stronger and better as we get closer to the trials. The ultimate goal is to run her and get her qualified for the All American Futurity, but we are not completely committed to that plan as of right now. She is paid up in some of the futurity's in California later in the year, and depending on how she trains up to the trials for the All American will dictate whether we run her or not. But the All American is the ultimate goal," he added.

Keeton Says Kiss My Hocks Is Definite For All American Trials

With the Rainbow Futurity(G1) winning connections taking a more conservative outlook to the chances of starting their Grade 1 winner in the All American Futurity trials on August 14th and 15th, trainer Toby Keeton has stated that the plans laid out for the Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winning son of leading second crop sire Tempting Dash are more definite.

"Kiss My Hocks is doing well, and we cannot wait to get him to the trials for the All American," said Keeton. "He came back from the Rainbow without a scratch, and is doing great. If nothing changes, and he trains perfectly up to the trials, he will is a definite."
