AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—OCTOBER 1, 2014—Abigail Kawananakoa's Significant Heart forged her way into this week’s AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com National Poll for 3-year-olds and older following her victory in Sunday’s$150,000 Mildred Vessels Memorial Handicap (G1) at Los Alamitos.
The two-time stakes winner on the season advanced to No. 9 in the poll, which was led once again this week by Bon Accord. Significant Heart was the only newcomer to the rankings for the older horses.
There were no changes to the national rankings for the 2-year-olds, where a razor-thin consensus sees All American Futurity (G1) winner JM Miracle the narrowest of leaders, 97-96, over Ruidoso Futurity (G1) hero Kiss My Hocks.
