The first foal out of champion filly PJ Chick In Black will be offered at the 2015 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale next January.

First Foal of Champion PJ Chick In Black to be Offered at 2015 Winter Mixed Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—OCTOBER 2, 2014—Lazy E Ranch, LLC announced today they will offer the first foal from the AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Filly PJ Chick In Black from a recipient mare in January.

The daughter of champion sire Desirio was bred February 26, 2014 to leading living sire of money earners Corona Cartel. The recipient mare, with a projected foaling date of February 3, will be offered in the 2015 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale January 22-24 in Oklahoma City.

Owned by Dennis Bowen, Susan Taylor and Jack Smith Farms, PJ Chick In Black won eight of 14 career starts and earned $652,081. She won the Ruidoso Futurity(G1), West Texas Futurity(G1) and was the fastest qualifier for the 2012 $2.4 million All American Futurity. PJ Chick In Black also won the 2013 West Texas Derby(G2).

Grade 1 winner and multiple champion sire Corona Cartel has sired 807 winners, 140 stakes winners, 140 stakes-placed with earnings of $46.1 million and average earnings per starter of nearly $40,000. He was the leading summer sale sire at both Ruidoso and Heritage Place with 35 yearlings averaging more than $66,000 per head.
