OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—OCTOBER 30, 2011—Heritage Place will kick off their 36th annual Fall Mixed Sale at the Heritage Place Sales Pavilion in Oklahoma City on Friday. Five hundred and sixty-three head of broodmares, stallions, yearlings and horses of racing age have been cataloged for the two-day event, October 31 and November 1.

Sale Festivities get underway Thursday (Oct. 30) at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) with the annual pre-sale party and a special "Night With The Legends of American Quarter Horse Racing" hosted by TRACK Magazine and Heritage Place (see related story) at 6:00 p.m. (CDT). A special dedication will also be held prior to "Legends" to honor former Broodmare of the Year First Prize Dash (see related story).

“With a good catalog and the 'The Night of the Legends', it appears that this is going to be a very big weekend,” Heritage Place’s General Manager Spence Kidney said. “The weather forecast is excellent.”

The sale will begin promptly Friday morning at 10:00 am with a Day 1 Yearling Session of hips 1 thru 103. Day 1's Mixed Session will follow immediately with hips 104 thru 2810.

Saturday session will also get underway promptly at 10 a.m. offering a final Mixed Session of hips 282 through 563.

The sale will be webcast again this year and those people not in attendance can watch the sale by logging on to www.heritageplace.com.

The Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale Catalog is also available through the new RGP Catalog App, an innovative, electronic exploration and organizational tool for equine auction catalogs that offers a simple interactive experience.

Everyone’s invited to join Robin Glenn Pedigrees for an RGP Catalog App seminar at 9:00 A.M. on Friday (October 31) in the Heritage Place auditorium. Following the seminar, additional app instruction and support will be available in the AQHA booth on Friday during the Heritage Place Sale.

The free app can be downloaded from www.robinglenn.com or by searching for “RGP Catalog App” in the Apple App Store.

The Catalog App, available for all Apple and Android tablets and phones, has recently added some exciting new features, such as the ability to tap on a “PP” icon to view a horse’s past performance, and to tap on the Covering Sire’s name on the catalog page to view his pedigree paragraph. Also new are upgraded “short list” functions, and an enhanced ratings and evaluation system. Now users may also take a photo or video of a horse with their devices and attach them to the horse’s page.

Complete sales results can found in the Auction Leaders Section on StallioneSearch.com following each day's session.
