LOS ALAMITOS, CA—APRIL 3, 2017—The three nights of racing at Los Alamitos Race Course on March 31 thru April 2 resulted in a track record of $856,247 in money wagered over the six Pick Four sequences offered during the weekend highlighted by the Grade 3 La Primera Del Ano Derby on Saturday and Grade 3 El Primero Del Ano Derby on Sunday.

The previous record total of $823,470 was set during the La Primera Del Ano Derby and El Primero Del Ano Derby weekend last year on April 1-3.

The record figure featured $482,021 bet in the Early Pick Fours for an average of $160,673 per night, which is the second highest average for a single week, plus $374,226 bet in the Late Pick Fours for a new all-time record average of $124,740. The former record average in the Late Pick Four of $116,421 was set earlier this year on March 10-12, which included the single night record pool for the Late Pick Four of $160,312 on Sunday, March 12, 2016.

In addition to the big Pick Four pools, there was one other huge number that highlighted this weekend’s racing program: a season-high Pick Six payout of $41,076 for a ticket with six out of six. The winning numbers were #5-1-2-6-3-3 and the horse combination of Rayshas Pink Sky ($13.20),Terrello ($16.20), Still Friends ($6.60), Blue Noblesse ($9.60),El Remalcable ($3.60) and Stelfast ($17.20). The Pick Six on Sunday had the added spice of a carryover of $10,301.
