Bodacious Eagle Perches Atop AQHA Racing National Poll

AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—APRIL 19, 2017—Bodacious Eagle, with two graded stakes wins so far at the Remington Park meet, kept the top spot in the AQHA Racing National Poll by a unanimous vote.

Jessies First Down, last year’s world champion, remained in second and is scheduled to be in action this coming weekend in Saturday’s Bank of America Sam Houston Championship Challenge (G2), for which he won a trial in his only outing this season.

BH Lisas Boy, who is undefeated in two starts this year including a victory in the Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1), is tied with Jessies First Down for the second position in this week’s poll.

With Quarter Horse racing set to start this week at numerous tracks, including Delta Downs, SunRay Park and Indiana Grand, and several graded stakes on tap over the coming weeks, there figures to be major shifts in the poll later this month.

The first poll for 2-year-olds will be released May 3.
