ELGIN, TX—MAY 11, 2017—The fifth sustaining payment for the 2017 $1 million-est. Grade 1 Texas Classic Futurity and the $400,000-est. Texas Classic Derby and nominations to the 2017 TQHA Sire's Cup Futurity and Sires' Cup Derby are both due Monday, May 15.
Horses nominated to the Texas Classic Futurity and Derby must send a $400 payment on or before May 15th to remain eligible.
Horsemen and women who missed the original nomination deadline who still want to enter their horse(s) to the Texas Classic can pay a $3,650 late entry fee thru Monday to nominate.

Trials for the Texas Classic Futurity will be run October 21 at Lone Star Park and trials for the Texas Classic Derby will be contested October 20. Both finals are set for Saturday, November 11 at the Grand Prairie facility.

TQHA Sires' Cup
Sustaining payments are due Monday, May 15 for the 2017 TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity and the Sires' Cup Derby to be contested over the summer at Retama Park.
Late nominations can be made on Monday for $950.
Trials are set June 16 for the futurity and June 17 for the derby. Both finals will be contested on Saturday, July 1.

Owner(s) must be a current member of the Texas Quarter Horse Association, as stated on the horse’s AQHA registration papers, including partnerships, at time of nomination and at time of race events. Please enclose $30 for individual or $40 joint membership with payment if necessary.
