RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—NOVEMBER 13, 2017—Sustaining payments for horses paid up in the 2018 running's of the Ruidoso, Rainbow and/or All American futurities at Ruidoso Downs are due on Wednesday, November 15.

The payment for the $1-million (est.) Ruidoso Futurity is $600, the payment for the $1-million (est.) Rainbow Futurity is $600 and the payment for the $3-million (est.) All American Futurity is $700.

There is also a one-time reduction in the supplemental payments for the three 2018 futurities due on December 15. This applies to foals of 2016 not nominated to any of the 2018 futurities. The Ruidoso Futurity supplement is $1,500, the Rainbow Futurity supplement is $1,500 and the All American Futurity is $2,500.

“We know this is a decision-making time for all owners regarding their 2018 racing plans,” said Ruidoso Downs’ president and general manager Jeff True. “Ruidoso Downs’ ownership and management invite all owners and trainers to strongly consider the Triple Crown series at Ruidoso and we are offering new incentives to participate in these iconic races. We are continuing to develop plans for 2018.”

Also in 2018, the open Grade 1 futurity and derby trial race purses have been doubled from $4,000 to $8,000.
