Multiple Grade 1 Winner He Looks Hot Undergoes Colic Surgery On Saturday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA-FEBRUARY 11, 2018-Ed Allred's homebred He Looks Hot is recovering after undergoing colic surgery on Saturday and as a result will be scratched from the Grade 1 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship tonight (Sunday).

"He's alive and that's the important thing," said trainer Scott Willoughby. "This is his third colic surgery."

A 6-year-old gelding by Walk Thru Fire, He Looks Hot has won seven of 24 career starts and has earned $1,101,539. He Looks Hot has won the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity in 2014, Grade 1 Vessels Maturity in 2016, and Restricted Grade 1 Spencer Childers California Breeders Championship Handicap.
