New Digital Improvements Deployed at Ruidoso Downs

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—APRIL 20, 2018—Billy The Kid Casino will install 100 new slot machines by opening day May 25th and a newly developed website debuts today.

The new slot machines will offer the latest technology from Aristocrat, Ainsworth, IGT, Bally’s and Konami. The renovation upgrades one-third of the entire casino floor to give patrons some of the most advanced and popular new slot machines in the gaming industry.

Additionally, a new casino accounting and player management system will be installed to manage the player rewards club. This new infrastructure will greatly enhance the player experience and provide more ways to win at Billy The Kid Casino.

The newly developed website at raceruidosod.com utilizes advanced web technology and capabilities to provide patrons a comprehensive web experience using any type of device for browsing. The latest news and information will be updated daily and the new calendar feature provides fans a new tool to plan their visits. The racing pages will provide fans and horseman quick access entries, results and more. Policies, forms, and information will be easy to find.

The website will include a subscription offer for high-definition, online streaming of live racing, and access to Hi-Def replays. Videos of Hall of Fame inductees are free to view.

The Ruidoso Select Horse Sale also has an updated website dedicated to the premier Quarter Horse and New Mexico-Bred Sale. Live video will be available at that site during sale days.

Ruidoso Downs will for the first time offer high-definition simulcast video to all its simulcast outlets and to ADW platforms. Fiber optic broadband services have been brought into the building which will allow for account wagering through wireless tablets provided by Ruidoso Downs. Account wagering at Ruidoso Downs was approved by the NMRC on Thursday.

“These are major improvements which will enhance our patrons’ entertainment experience,” said president and general manager Jeff True. “Our digital content delivery and image are important parts of our overall product strategy and the deployment of this new website along with the other assets represent significant steps forward in the execution of our plan.”
