AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—JUNE 7, 2018—Jessies First Down validated his No. 1 ranking in the AQHA Racing National Poll for older horses as the 7-year-old gelding by FDD Dynasty rolled to a convincing victory in Saturday’s Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1) in Oklahoma City.

Voters again ranked the two-time defending world champion at the top of the poll this week, marking the sixth consecutive week at No. 1 for the Texas-bred.

Hold Air Hostage, who finished second behind Jessies First Down on Saturday, moved up slightly in the rankings from No. 4 last week to a tie for No. 2 this week with KVN Corona. The latter is undefeated in nine career starts and is set to run in this weekend’s Ruidoso Derby (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Also in the poll for older horses, PYC Fun N Fancy jumped into the rankings at No. 6 after taking the Heritage Place Derby (G2) on Saturday at Remington.

In the 2-year-old rankings, Lynnder 16, winner of the Remington Park Futurity (RG2) in April, held the top spot for the sixth week in a row. The big race this weekend for 2-year-olds is the Ruidoso Futurity (G1) on Sunday, which will include No. 3-ranked Suze Returns.
