AQHA Racing National Poll Steady as Fall Season Approaches

AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—SEPTEMBER 12, 2018—Following a week of big changes in the AQHA Racing National Polls after All American weekend at Ruidoso Downs, the latest rankings for this week were unchanged as the fall racing season approaches.

Apocalyptical Jess, who last week took over the top spot in the 2-year-old poll following a victory in the $3 million All American Futurity (G1), remained at No. 1 as the unanimous selection among voters. Rainbow Futurity (G1) winner MM Fourinthemorning, the betting favorite and fifth-place finisher in the All American, held second in the rankings.

In the older-horse rankings, Jessies First Down, winner of the Grade 1 Leo Stakes and Remington Park Invitational Championship this year, held the No. 1 position for the 20th week in a row. BH Lisas Boy, a two-time graded stakes winner this year at Los Alamitos, is ranked second.
