RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—OCTOBER 9, 2018—It’s one of the New Mexico True highlights of the year this weekend with the 29th annual Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium (LCCS) at Ruidoso Downs running from Thursday through Sunday morning.
"We’re honored to bring this wide-ranging family entertainment and education through the Cowboy Symposium," LCCS coordinator Sunny Hirschfeld said. "This year we will be emphasizing education about farm animals. This year’s entertainment is superb and we look forward to seeing our longtime friends and making new friends at the Cowboy Symposium."
Entertainment is always a huge attraction at the Cowboy Symposium. This week, Lee Greenwood starts the entertainment on Thursday night. The memorable weekend of music continues with Sawyer Brown on Friday. Then Moe Bandy and the Floyd Domino Trio provide the Saturday evening entertainment. There is entertainment at various venues throughout the Symposium that is always popular.
Some folks say they offer family entertainment. It really happens at the Cowboy Symposium. Entertainment for all ages is readily available. It includes cooking demonstrations, an always delightful kid’s rodeo and the internationally recognized Chuck Wagon Cookoff.
For folks who have been bitten by the "horse bug" or just like horses, be sure to see the Kerry Kuhn demonstrations on Saturday. He helps others become better communicators with horses and has held horsemanship demonstrations across the United States and Canada for more than 20 years.
