Sf Hot Pass Named Lone Star's Horse of Meet, Levario, Ponce and Hernandez Named Leaders

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 11, 2018—Sf Hot Pass, a winner of three stakes races during the just completed Lone Star Park Quarter Horse Meet, was named the track's Horse of the Meet Saturday night.

Conditioned by trainer Leon Bard, for owner Shannon Fisher, Sf Hot Pass kicked off the meet on September 29th with a win in the Nevill Stakes. On October 13th the son of multiple stakes sire Ivory James won the Grade 1 $75,000 Refrigerator Handicap. On November 3 he closed the meet with a victory in the B.F. Phillips, Jr. Handicap(RG3).

Bred in Texas by P and J Racing Ltd. and D. Stroebel, the 5-year-old gelding has compiled a (15) 6-2-0 record and banked $110,530. He is by far having his best season at the track in 2018, with a 4-for-4 record that also included winning the TQHA Classic Stakes(RG2) at Retama Park in July. He has earned $91,250 in 2018.

Jesse Lee Levario took home the Leading Jockey honors after riding 18 winners from 60 starts. His mounts finished in the top 3 55% of time earning $156,369.

Francisco Calderon was second with 15 winners and Alejandro Zuniga rode 13 winners to finish third.

Josue Ponce took home the Leading Trainer award after saddling 17 winners from 57 starts during the meet. His stable earned $163,385 with a 30% win clip.

The aforementioned Leon Bard was second with 13 wins and Santiago Riojas, Jr. had nine wins. Trainer G. Blane Wood was the leading trainer by earnings with $564,035.

Jose Fabian Hernandez took home Leading Owner honors with 4 wins during the fall Quarter Horse meet. His stable finished in the top 3 47% of the time and earned $78,302.

Claudia Avila, Shannon Fisher, Jose Espinoza, SF Racing Enterprises, LLC, Almada Racing, Jerry Windham, Raul Rubalcava, Laurentino Martinez and Payton Young had three winners each.

Paragon Farms, LLC was the leading owner by earnings with $471,380. Vernon Harman and Robert T. Moudy III was second with $226,625 and Claudia Avila's stable earned $180,701.
