YOAKUM, TX—JULY 18, 2019—Funeral are services are set Friday (July 19) for Vickie Lynn McGehee, 65, who passed away Monday (July 15). She was born May 18, 1955 in Taft, Texas to Robert and Freda Jo Witte McGehee.

Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum, with Rev. John Witte officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Vickie worked at Ammerman Saddlery and lover her horses and animals. She was the sister of R.K. "Dickie" McGehee and was very involved in Quarter Horse racing including the multiple stakes winner Junior June Bug ($289,078) winner of the 2013 Zia Derby(G3) at Ruidoso Downs.

She is survived by her brothers Dickie McGehee of Yancey and Bobby McGehee (Sallie) of College Station; and her brother-in-law, Carl Ammerman of Yoakum. Vickie was preceded in death by: parents; her sister, Barbara Ammerman; and niece, Kelle Ammerman.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to donor's choice.
