OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—NOVEMBER 2, 2019—Call Me Cole, a G1-placed brother to 2019 Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Uncle D and stakes winner Rip Tide brought the high bid of $180,000 during the closing session of the Heritage Place 41st annual Fall Mixed Sale concluded today in Oklahoma City.

Heritage Place Sale Company reported 433 of 498 Quarter Horses offered as sold from a $5,706,500 gross. The two-day average was $10,870 and the median was up from $6,300 last year to $6,500. Comparisons to last year's sale are hard to make because of a world record $2.1 million price paid for champion Moonin The Eagle in 2018.

"We had a great sale overall," Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney said Saturday evening. "Today’s average was up 12% (all breeds of horses sold) compared to last year’s final day."

Kidney reminded horsemen and women there is still time this week to consign to the Winter Mixed Sale, scheduled January 17-18, 2020. "Please contact our office this week to complete you entries," Kidney says. "Thanks to all of our buyers and consignors, we appreciate them all."

Javier Alvarez Jr. paid $180,000 for aforementioned Call Me Cole. Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent consigned the Corona Cartel colt from the stakes winning First Down Dash mare Little Surfer. An earner of $298,122, Call Me Cole was third in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1) at 2.

A 13-year-old daughter of leading sire Mr Jess Perry brought the second highest bid of $95,000 in Friday's opening session. Chad Hart purchased Hip 323 Jess Significant, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity(G1) and a champion producer. Consigned Bobby D. Cox, she sold with an embryo to multiple stakes sire Ivory James.

Pleasant Valley Ranch paid $75,000 for third high-seller Unlymited, a G1-placed 3-year-old son of leading sire Corona Cartel from the Ruidoso Futurity All About Ease by First Down Dash. Bobby D. Cox was the consignor. Unlymited was third in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) at 2.

Spring Hill Farms purchased the stakes winning One Famous Eagle 4-year-old, Eagle Deluxe for $66,000. Jason Olmstead, Agent consigned the multiple stakes winner out of -G1-placed Corona Deluxe by Corona Cartel.

Chad Hart led all buyers with eight purchases for $268,000. Javier Alvarez Jr. have five head for $218,200 and JGA Racing Stables Inc. paid $212,700 for 11 head.

Bobby D. Cox led all consignors and agents 32 head grossing $734,400. Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent sold 31 head for $559,000 and Marty Powers, Agent had 11 head bring $139,300.

Corona Cartel was the leading sire of yearlings (by average two or more sold) with three head for $45,000. Valiant Hero had five average $26,200 and Ivory James had two for $22,750.

Champion Jess Good Candy was the first-crop sale sire yearling leader (by average two or more sold) with six head for $16,333 while One Fabulous Eagle sold eight yearlings for a $7,138 average.

Tres Seis was the leading covering sire (by average with two more in-foal mares sold) with two mares for $33,000. First Moonflash had three in-foal mares average $25,833 and first year sire Kvn Corona had two mares average $25,500.
