Idaho Horse Racing Commission Approves Revised Race Dates For Pocatello Downs, Meet Opens June 3

POCATELLO, ID—MAY 28, 2020—Pocatello Downs has been approved for "Live Horse Racing" to begin June 3rd Initially races will be conducted spectator-free with licensed essential personnel only.

Opening day will be highlighted with trials to the $10,000 added “Crush The Curve” open Futurity along with the $7,500 added “Ice Breaker” Quarter Horse sprint.

Pocatello Downs Plans first post time @ 4:30 pm (MDT) on Wednesdays through much of the summer. The track's primary goal is to provide intermountain horsemen and woman a place to come and race safely.

Many tracks throughout our region are struggling to reopen due to the Covid19 Pandemic.

For the first time Pocatello Downs will be live streaming races through Advance Deposit Wagering platforms.

"We are excited to provide our live streaming races for people to watch and wager from the safety of their own homes," track officials said in a press release today.

In addition to stakes races that include AQHA Regional Challenge stakes, Bitterroot Futurity & Derby, Pocatello Downs is excited to offer many overnight races for Owners and Trainers to choose from.
