Management at Ruidoso Downs is planning for the live race meet to open on May 28th and run through Labor Day (subject to New Mexico Racing Commission approval at its March 18th meeting) when the season culminates with the running of the world’s richest Quarter Horse race, the $3 million All American Futurity.

Applications should be submitted on or before March 17th and can be sent via email to stallapp@raceruidoso.com. All applications received after that date will be given last preference. Notification of stall allocation will be made on or before April 1st.

Barns are set to open on April 15th, and the track surface will open for training on April 19th.

Training races for unstarted 2-year-olds are currently scheduled to be held May 3rd-5th.

The first condition book will be published at a later date once the racing dates and stakes schedule have been approved by the New Mexico Racing Commission.
