CLAREMORE, OK—OCTOBER 26, 2025—Hawkeye Futurity winner Chew Bac Cah, a daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess, posted the fastest qualifying time of the day from eight trials held Sunday for the restricted Grade 3, $512,268 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship at Will Rogers Downs.

The 400-yard final for two-year-old fillies sired by participating stallions will be contested on Tuesday, November 11.

Ridden by Ramiro Haro Garcia for trainer Jason L. Olmstead, Chew Bac Cah drew away under confident handling to win the seventh trial by 1-½ lengths, stopping the timer in 19.915 seconds over a muddy, sealed track to record a 94 speed index.

The Iowa-bred filly is owned and bred by Lunderborg LLC and is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Or More. The talented bay filly has now won four of six career starts, earning $65,661, and will head into the final as the one to beat.

Second fastest on the day was Ruse Ticle Knockout, also by Apollitical Jess, who posted a 19.953 clocking while taking the seventh trial earlier in the card. The Texas-bred filly, owned by Mi Serenity and bred by Five Puig Racing LLC, held sway under jockey Edwin G. Escobedo for trainer Luis Villafranco.

Out of the Tres Seis mare Adolph Tres Knockout, Ruse Ticle Knockout was purchased for $210,000 at the 2024 TQHA Yearling Sale and has proven her class against top company this season. She was sixth in the Grade 2 Oklahoma Futurity and won her trial races for the Heritage Place Futurity (G1) and the Rainbow QH Futurity (G1). She has earned $45,306.

Amarillis, a $30,000 repurchase at the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, posted the third-fastest time of 19.979 seconds after winning the second trial of the afternoon by over a length.

The Favorite Cartel filly races for Dusty Rose Ranch LLC and was bred in Oklahoma by M.C. Stucks. Trained by Stacey Capps and ridden by Cody Rodger Smith.

Amarillis is out of Astranomical by Dominyun and has shown steady improvement, winning her last three starts. She has earned $28,468 from six starts.

The ten fastest qualifiers will return to Will Rogers Downs on Tuesday, November 11, to vie for the winner’s share of the $512,268 purse in the Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship (RG3) contested at 400 yards.
