CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 11, 2025— Amarillis, a sorrel filly by leading sire Favorite Cartel out of Astranomical by Dominyun, scored the biggest victory of her young career on Tuesday afternoon, taking the restricted Grade 3, $512,269 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship at Will Rogers Downs.

Ridden by Cody Smith and trained by Stacey Capps, Amarillis broke alertly, bumped slightly, and took command midway to hold clear to the wire, stopping the clock in 20.092 seconds for 400 yards with a speed index of 89. The win came over a fast track under clear skies with a 20-mph crosswind.

Bred in Oklahoma by M.C. Stucks, Amarillis earned $204,907 for owner Dusty Rose Ranch LLC, boosting her seasonal earnings in style. The two-year-old filly was offered as a $30,000 repurchase at the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale and has since developed into a stakes-quality runner with remarkable determination and consistency. A winner of her last four starts, she has earned $233,375.
