Fastest Qualifier One Incredible Hock Returns To Win TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity

SELMA, TX—AUGUST 29, 2020—Fastest qualifier One Incredible Hock defeated D Cosmic Cartel by three-quarters Saturday night to win the $221,160 TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG3) at Retama Park.

Ridden by jockey Nestor Duran, One Incredible Hock dueled early as he drove over the 350 yards in :17.679 seconds, equaling a 95 speed index into a 17 mph headwind. It was the third win in five starts for the Adrian Huitron trainee.

Racing for owners Hernan and Maria Medrano, the $15,500 Heritage Place September Sale Yearling earned $88,464 for the win. Also a finalist in the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG1) last April, One Incredible Hock has earned $119,976.

Monty McNair bred the son of a leading second-crop sire, champion Kiss My Hocks, in Oklahoma from the Make It Anywhere mare Enticilizeur.

In a late surge under jockey Juan Garcia, D Cosmic Cartel finished second to earn $44,232 for owner-breeder Guillermo Herrera. Xavier Alonzo trains the son of champion sire The Louisiana Cartel from the Oak Tree Special mare Special Love Shack.

Card One Starter, a son of first-crop sire Docs Best Card, was a head back to take third for owner-breeder Jose Guzman. Manuel Urieta, Jr. had the riding call aboard the bay gelding for trainer Alonso Neri. Bred in Oklahoma, from the Tempting Dash mare Stable Dancer, Card One Starter earned $22,116 to bring his earning to nearly $70,000. He was second in the Old South Futurity two races back.

His Time To Deal, Hechizero Lips, Dash N Leader, Hennessy Xo Tlc ,Lucchesse, Im Jess Dashing and Air To Em Jess completed the field.
