Benitez, emerged the leader into the turn then drew away at the head of the stretch to defeat Big Hoss Rollin by 3- ¼ lengths in the $6,971(US) Century Mile Distance Stakes (not black type) Friday evening at Century Mile Racecourse.

World record holding Quarter Horse for most consecutive wins, Free Thought finished three-quarters back in third.

Conditioned by trainer William Leech, the multiple stakes winner completed the 870 yards in :45,849 seconds, equaling a 97 speed index. It was the fifth win in 25 starts for the son of Gone To The Mountain and boosted his bankroll to $46,583.

Gonetothebirghtside Syndicate owns the 5-year-old Alberta horse out of DJ Bright Tarbaby by Dj Bright Deja Vu. Jack and Deborah Williams are the breeder.
