RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—SEPTEMBER 7, 2020—Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG1) winner Eye Work For You bounced off a troubled third-place effort in the August 21st All American Futurity trials to defeat Dulce Sin Tacha by a neck in the $200,000 All American Juvenile on Monday at Ruidoso Downs.
Under champion jockey James Flores, Eye Work For You bumped inwardly at the break but recovered nicely to complete the 440 yards in :21.613 seconds, equaling a 90 speed index into a 9 mph headwind.
Trainer Jamie Guzman saddled the son of champion sire Coronas Leaving You to his fourth win six starts for owner Jose Guzman. The $84,000 Juvenile winner's purse brings earnings mark to $465,466.
Runner-up Dulce Sin Tacha earned $36,000 for owner-breeders Bob and Jerry Gaston. The Texas-bred son of first-crop sire Jess Good Candy suffered his first loss in four starts.
Conditioned by trainer Heath Taylor, and ridden by Rodrigo Vallejo, Dulce Sin Tacha broke his maiden in his first start at Ruidoso in June, before winning both his Rainbow and All American Futurity trials. Out of the Tempting Dash mare Prissy Sin Tacha, the colt has banked $50,514.
Garlyn Shelton's $20,000 Heritage Place September Yearling Sale graduate Relentless Rose finished a length back to earn $20,000 for third. Trainer John Stinebaugh saddled the daughter leading second-crop sire Hes Relentless from the Corona Cartel mare First Caroline Rose.
Ridden by jockey Bento Baca, Relentless Rose broke her maiden at Ruidoso and won her Rainbow Futurity trial in July. William E. Smith is the breeder.
Candy Blood, Apollitical Redflash, Separate Sentence, A Dangerous Flash, Seven, Misscandymountain and Mane Street completed the field.
