GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 12, 2020—Wagons Dash, a son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, dominated the field in the last of four trials Saturday night for the Dash For Cash Derby(G2) to set the top qualifying mark at Lone Star Park.
Under jockey Everardo Rodriguez, Wagons Dash defeated fellow qualifier Swingin Good Time by 2-˝ lengths to stop the clock in :21.464 seconds, a 98 speed index with a 3 mph tailwind. Trainer Eric Long saddled the multiple stakes-placed gelding for owner Edward Scott.
Bred in Oklahoma by Flag Ranch LLC, from the Fishers Dash mare Breitling Time, Wagons Dash has compiled a (11) 3-4-1 record and banked $74,533. He was second in the Easy Jet Stakes last season and second in the Jack Brooks Stakes at Remington Park in May.

Wagons Dash's second dam, Waisting No Time by Streakin Six, is a multiple stakes producing sister to champion filly Sixy Chick and leading sire Sixarun.
Coming off a win in the Adequan Retama Park Derby Challenge in his last start July 25th, A Painted Dynasty was a one-length winner in the second trial to post the second fastest clocking of :21.640 seconds, a 94 speed index with a 3 mph tailwind. The bay colt has won his last three starts.
Alonso Neri trains the son of world champion sire FDD Dynasty for owner David Gutierrez. Third in the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Derby(RG2) and a finalist in the Heritage Place Derby(G2) and Texas Classic Futurity(G1), A Painted Dynasty was bred in Oklahoma by Mixer Ranch from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Third Painted Sign. The 7-time winner has earned $226,644.
Bred in Colorado by Thomas Bradbury, from the Corona Cartel mare Duplicate Check, Lovethewayourun was third in the Gillespie County Fair Derby in her last start. Also a finalist in the Firecracker Futurity(G2) and Old South Derby, he has banked $45,345.
Emmanuel Villarreal's Toreto defeated Sensational Senator by a neck in the third trial to post the fourth fastest time of :21.753 seconds. Jose Sanchez III conditions the lightly raced son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon from the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Braggin.
Raul Ramirez, Jr. was aboard the gelding who has won three of five career starts and earned $25,794. He was fourth in the Gillespie County Fair Derby in his last start.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Lone Star Park on Saturday, September 27th to vie for the winner's share of $135,700 purse.
