Tooyahbooya Dhd Wins Second Consecutive of Meet In Wednesday QH Feature at Horseshoe Indianapolis

SHELBYVILLE, IN–MAY 18, 2022–After breaking his maiden in his last start, April 19th, Tooyahbooya Dhd won the $19,500 QH Allowance Feature at Horseshoe Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon.

Tooyahbooya Dhd popped the gate under jockey Luz Martinez then slowly widened his lead to one length at the wire. The Indiana-bred son of multiple stakes sire Capo de Capi completed the 300 yards in :16.587 seconds, equaling a 94 speed index over a sloppy (sealed) racetrack.

Trainer Anthony Cunningham saddled the 3-year-old to his second win in nine career starts for owner David H. Dalton.  Bred from the Brimmstone mare Boo Yah Too Yah, Tooyahbooya Dhd was a finalist in the Jaguar Rocket Futurity and Miss Roxie Little Futurity last season.

Today’s $10,725 winner’s purse boosted his bankroll to $38,309.

Beach Front finished second to earn $3,900 for owner Robert Ray.  Also trained by Cunningham, the son of leading Indiana sire Escondido Beach was ridden by jockey Francisco Quintero. Sheri Miller bred the bay gelding from the Ivory James mare Run N Ruby. He has earned $35,205.

Falcon, a 6-year-old son of El Diablo Tres, finished a neck back to pick up $1,950 for owners Cassandra Candia and Wendy Cassandra, Trainer Jose Candia named Ronald Hisby to ride the bay horse out of Southern Honeymoon by Southern Cartel, Bred by Ricardo Candia, Falcon has banked $38,350 off 24 career starts.

Too Pretty To Catch, Bv Amazed, Perry Special Chick and Secret Eyes completed the field.
