SELMA, TX—AUGUST 11, 2020—Stakes winners Easy Blinkers and Pa Cha Ching are among 24 sophomores entered in Saturday’s 400-yard TQHA Sires’ Cup Derby trials at Retama Park.

A homebred Dealagame gelding racing for Pamela S. Stone, Easy Blinkers has won three of five starts, including last year’s 350-yard, $110,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG2), and he has earned $60,595. Easy Blinkers drew the rail post and will be ridden by Jose I. Martinez for trainer Angel Sanchez in the second of three trials.

Pa Cha Ching is a homebred son of champion Tempting Dash trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III for owner Pat Allen. The colt will be making his second start of the year off of a 2-year-old campaign during which he won the 400-yard, $48,000 Texas Classic Juvenile Stakes at Lone Star Park and ran second, a half of a length behind winner Trump My Record, in the 330-yard, $460,000 Sam Houston Futurity (G2).

Pa Cha Ching drew post 5 and will be ridden by Luis Vivanco in the third heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the August 29, $50,000-added TQHA Sires’ Cup Derby final.
