Eleven Dash For Cash Futurity Trials Set for Sunday

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 8, 2020—Graded stakes winners Cruzin Cartel and One Incredible Hock are among the 106 2-year-olds entered in Sunday’s 400-yard Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) trials at Lone Star Park.

A sorrel son of Teller Cartel owned and trained by Raul E. Galvan, Cruzin Cartel will be stretching out in distance off of his half-length win in the 350-yard, $406,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2) at Retama Park on July 25. The gelding has won both of his outs and has banked $185,520.

Cruzin Cartel was an $18,000 purchase at last year’s TQHA Yearling Sale in San Antonio. The gelding drew post 3 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa in the first of 11 trials.

One Incredible Hock is coming off of a three-quarter length victory in the 350-yard, $212,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG3) at Retama Park on August 29. A $15,500 purchase at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, the Kiss My Hocks colt is trained by Adrian Huitron for owners Maria Gama and Hernan Medrano.

One Incredible Hock drew post 6 and will be ridden by Nestor Duran in the fourth heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $400,000-est. Dash For Cash Futurity final on September 27.
