RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 29, 201—The July 30th thru August 1st Zia Festival Weekend at Ruidoso Downs Race Track race card features a great line-up of trials and stakes races all weekend that celebrates New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses (see related story) and Thoroughbreds.

“It’s a lot about shopping and being able to purchase unique pieces,” Kana Laymon said. She’s been putting together the group of approximately 100 artists and vendors that will exhibit at this year’s Zia Festival.

“Our goal is to present a wide variety of artists and vendors for the Zia Festival so that there is something for everyone to enjoy,” said Laymon. “We expanded our tent this year to include even more vendors, and they are bringing a fantastic selection of products. We have worked very hard to present a quality festival for the fans.”

There will also be free activities for kids, and admission is free for the entire event. Festival hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and booths are located in the tent as well as in the grandstand.

Vendors are open from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Don't miss the Homegrown Boyz in The Sports Bar at 8:00 PM on Saturday!
