2023 OK Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile Purse Increase; Nomination To The G1 Futurity Due October 15

JAY, OK– OCTOBER 6, 2022– A record purse of $231,600 in this year’s Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity(G1) created much hype for the mixed breeds with the new addition of the Juvenile. 

Thanks to sponsor Bryan Hawk of WestWin Farms, the 2023 Juvenile will have a $10,000 purse increase making it $40,000 guaranteed.

Trials for the 300 yard race will be run opening weekend at Remington Park on Friday, March 10 with the final set on Saturday, March 25. 

Nominations are due on Saturday, October 15.  The race includes $75,000 in added money plus $5,000 added in Oklahoma Bred money (if eligible) and $7,000 trial purses.  APHA and ApHC foals of 2021 are eligible to nominate.

The payment schedule includes 5 payments of $450 with a total entry fee of $2,250.  Double payments missed to date until February 15.  Late supplemental nominations at time of entry is $5,000. 

All nomination and sustaining payments must be postmarked by due date and should be sent registered or certified mail.
