Bank of America Challenge Championships Set October 21-23

Q-RACING—SEPTEMBER 13, 2021—Make plans now to attend the Bank of America Challenge Championships weekend, which promises to be a great getaway filled with fun events and great racing.

The event will be held at The Downs at Albuquerque in New Mexico, and is hosted in a city filled with activities for the whole family and great weather to enjoy.

The event will kick off on Wednesday, October 20, with the post position draw.

On Thursday, October 21, the AQHA Racing Workshop will be held at the Embassy Suites Albuquerque, with educational opportunities for racing horsemen in the all-day event.

Also held on Thursday is the Downs Challenge Golf Tournament and a Luncheon and Fashion Show.

On Friday, October 22, Embassy Suites Albuquerque hosts the AQHA Racing Committee. While registration is required, this important event brings together horsemen to guide the sport of American Quarter Horse racing into the future. The meeting is open, and non-Racing Committee members are invited to attend.

That evening, plan to attend a free concert at The Downs. From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., plan to enjoy live music and dancing featuring country performer Shawn Brooks and New Mexico music legend Gonzalo. This special appearance is for one night only with the best in country music and varieties for your listening and dancing enjoyment.

On Saturday, October 23, Challenge Championship owners will be recognized at a morning brunch, and everyone is welcome to purchase a brunch ticket and attend.

At 3 p.m., plan to attend a handicapping seminar by the legendary Ed Burgart in advance of the Challenge Championship’s first post at 4 p.m. All-time leading jockey G.R. Carter Jr. will be a special guest at the event.
