GRANDE PRAIRIE, TX–OCTOBER 1, 2022–Kiss Me Suzy stayed alert and outran the competition for an upset in the $20,000 Q-Racing Distaff Challenge at Lone Star Park on Saturday.
The top three finishers, including runner up Best Moonflash and third place Sin Sational Kisser were are all conditioned by trainer John Stinebaugh.
With Sergio Dominguez at the reigns, Kiss Me Suzy lead the field from gate-to-wire for a length victory over Best Moonflash. The duo clocked an 88 speed index in :19.986 seconds on the 400-yard straightaway. The betting spectators wagered 11-1 odds at post-time on Kiss Me Suzy and the victory paid off with $26.40 for the win.
This is the first stakes win for Kiss Me Suzy, who has four career wins with $78,240 in the bank. Owned and bred by Connie Young and John Herrick of Oklahoma, the four-year-old daughter of Kiss My Hocks is out of the One Dashing Eagle mare Ode To Suzy, who is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Flash N Bling.

Best Moonflash, ridden by Ali Rivera, was the best of the rest, placing second a head behind Kiss Me Suzy. With two career wins, the four-year-old daughter of First Moonflash has earned $68,388 for owner Garlyn O. Shelton.
Bred by Simmons Racing of Texas, Best Moonflash is out of Thebest Isyet Tocome by Corona Cartel.
Post-time favorite Sin Sational Kisser, with Francisco Calderon aboard, bobbled at the start finishing third by a head. The four-year-old daughter of Kiss My Hocks has three career wins and $42,308 in the bank for owners Taylor VanBebber, John Herrick and Connie Young.
Breeder Janet VanBebber sold Sin Sational Kisser for $22,000 in the 2018 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Her dam is the Mr Jess Perry stakes winning mare Sin Tacha Perry, who is a half-sister to World Champion Streakin Sin Tacha.
The remaining order of finish is Ima Fancy Keeper, She’s Tough, A Fleeting Kiss, Leading Señorita, Ladys wicked and Fabulous Royale.
