Ten State-Bred Juveniles Entered in Ron Cook Wyoming-Bred Futurity

EVANSTON, WY—JULY 23, 2021—Ten state-bred 2-year-olds, headed by morning-line favorite VVR Workin Man, are entered in Saturday’s 330-yard, $70,550 Ron Cook Wyoming-Bred Futurity (R) at Wyoming Downs.

A bay son of the Corona Cartel stallion Whata Corona Runner trained by Diana Garfias for owner Biby Garfias, VVR Workin Man has earned $13,080 from four starts, and his record includes a second-place finish, a head behind winner Hes R Dynasty, in the 300-yard, $58,000 Wyoming-Bred Futurity (R) at Energy Downs.

VVR Workin Man drew post 10 and will be ridden by David Jimenez.

Trainer Jesse Villegas will send out two finalists, including fastest qualifier Eyesa Special Swirl. A homebred daughter of the Eyesa Special stallion Eyesa Special Slim, Eyesa Special Swirl is coming off of a one-length victory in the fifth of 10 trials on July 10.

Eyesa Special Swirl drew the rail post and will be ridden by Luis Peralta.
