ALTOONA, IA–AUGUST 4, 2022–CR Appollitical Joe heads a field of eight Iowa-breds entered in Saturday's 350-yard, $25,000 Cy-Hawk Stakes (R) at Prairie Meadows.

A homebred 4-year-old son of world champion Apollitical Jess racing for Curt Tobin and Dick Tobin, CR Appollitical Joe is coming off of a 1 1/2-length victory in a 350-yard allowance-optional claiming ($25,000) dash for Iowa-breds on July 23. The bay gelding has won six of 18 starts and has earned $186,390, and his six wins in eight outs at Prairie Meadows include a half-length victory in last year's Cy-Hawk Stakes.

CR Appollitical Joe drew post 8 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo for trainer Jason Olmstead.
