Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity Headlines Wednesday Stakes Tripleheader at Canterbury Park

SHAKOPEE, MN–AUGUST 7, 202–Leon A. Glasser's Alotta Oh La La, a homebred daughter of the Hawkinson stallion BF Farm Boss and the fastest qualifier, heads a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back on Wednesday's 350-yard, $105,100 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity at Canterbury Park.
Alotta Oh La La is coming off of a neck victory in the first of three trials on July 27. The filly has earned $37,743 from five starts in Minnesota and Oklahoma, and her two wins include a 1 1/4-length win in the July 13, $61,000 Minnesota QHRA Futurity (R) for state-breds.
Alotta Oh La La drew post 7 and will be ridden by Stormy Smith for trainer Mallory Norton.

Also on Wednesday, Thomas J. Scheckel's Apolitical Sass is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for the 400-yard, $68,175 Canterbury Park Derby for 3-year-olds.
A chestnut daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess trained by Jason Olmstead, Apolitical Sass set the fastest qualifying time with his one-length victory in the second of two trials on July 27. The filly drew post 9 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo.

Jo Rice's Southard Rocket, a homebred Coronado Cartel gelding trained by Jason Olmstead, is one of nine 2-year-olds entered back in Wednesday's 350-yard, $20,000 Mystic Lake Northlands Juvenile Stakes. The 2-1 morning-line choice, Southard Rocket scored a half-length win in a 300-yard, $16,500 maiden-special-weight dash at Canterbury on June 30.
Southard Rocket drew post 8 and will be ridden by Edwin Escobedo.
