POCATELLO, ID–MAY 20, 2023–Ten juveniles, headed by fastest qualifier Knocking It Off, are entered back in Sunday's 300-yard, $38,237 Pocatello Downs Spring Futurity.

A California-bred daughter of Favorite Cartel trained by Rosa Rodriguez for owner Alberto Avila, Knocking It Off made her career debut with a neck victory as the 7-5 favorite in the first of four trials on May 6. The filly was a $29,000 yearling purchase at last year's Los Alamitos Equine Sale.

Knocking It Off drew post 5 and will be ridden by Luis F. Gonzalez.

Also on Sunday, Alberto Avila's Bee A Freight Train will make his sophomore season debut in the second division of the 350-yard, $15,000 Gary and Sherilyn Blattner Memorial Derby.

A $26,000 buy at the 2021 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, Bee A Freight Train has won five of eight races and has banked $43,475, and he ended his 2-year-old season with a five-race win streak that included a clear 1 3/4-length victory in the August 26, $46,000 John Deere Emerald Juvenile Challenge Stakes at Emerald Downs.

Bee A Freight Train drew post 10 and will be ridden by Julian Zavala for trainer Rosa Rodriguez.

The first division of the Gary and Sherilyn Blattner Memorial Derby is headed by Donald Conway's Good Candy Cash, a gelded son of Jess Good Candy trained by Hector Magallanes.

Good Candy Cash will be making his first career start in Idaho. The gelding ended his juvenile campaign with a half-length victory in a 300-yard,  maiden-claiming $16,000 dash at Los Alamitos on October 29.

Good Candy Cash drew the rail post and will be ridden by Santiago Jimenez.
