CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 14, 2020—Paint Me Tres and jockey Jorge Torres defeated Sweet Candy Jewel by a half in Saturday's $234,000 Black Gold 400 Championship Lassie Futurity(RG3) Saturday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs.
The daughter of champion sire Tres Seis completed the 400 yards over a "sloppy" racetrack in :19.797 seconds, equaling a 98 speed index into a 16 mph headwind. It as the fourth win in five career starts for the bay filly.
Trainer Clinton Crawford conditions the Oklahoma-bred for owner-breeders Summer Hill Farm LLC. Out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Me Anywhere, Paint Me Tres has earned $93,380 in the Black Gold to improve her earnings total to $116,932. Her only loss was a fourth-place effort in the $100,000 Rainbow QH Juvenile at Ruidoso Downs in July.

Pedro Castillo Ortiz' Saturday Nite Secret was 1- ˝ lengths back to earn $25,817 for third. Also trained by Carrizales the daughter of champion Hez Our Secret is out of the Put It Back (TB) mare It's Saturday Nite (TB). Bred in Oklahoma by J.E. Smicklas LLC, the gray filly has earned $31,565 this season.
Relentless Mischief, Cindydoesitagain, My Rockin Memories, A Pollitical Phoebe, Jess A Regal Streak and La Ventaja completed the field.
