TULSA, OK—JULY 24, 2021—Fair Meadows has full card of stakes on Saturday night, with three Paint and Appaloosa Black Type events and three Quarter Horse Stakes.

Fabulous Turnpike Best in Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint And Appaloosa Futurity

Fabulous Turnpike, under jockey Daniel Torres, defeated second-fastest qualifier Rp Reckless Wire by half-a-length in the $97,679 Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint And Appaloosa Futurity on Saturday at Fair Meadows.

An Oklahoma homebred racing for the Estate of Nolan Pevehouse, Fabulous Turnpike stopped the clock in :187.749 seconds, earning a 94 speed index into a 7 mph headwind. Trainer Dee Keener saddled the bay son of leading second-crop QH sire One Fabulous Eagle to his second win in five starts. The $37,118 winner's purse boosted the 2-year-olds earnings total to $43,632.

Fabulous Turnpike, out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Me A Turnpike, entered the race with the fifth fastest qualifying time after winning his trial on July 10th.

Rp Reckless Wire, a daughter of leading APHA sire CRM Livewire racing for owner Roy Perkins and trainer Ray Enlow earned $16,605 for second.

Js Runnin Wire, also by CRM Livewire, earned $10,745 for third. From the Kenner barn, the Oklahoma-bred gelding out of Iwilliewantarunner by WIllie Wanta Dash, races for owner-breeder Shirley Wheeler.

La Totuga, My Name Is, Prf Snowpike, Capo Cabana, Smithworks, Wired To Win and Wf January Dawn completed the field.

Js Shezaquickchick Wins $21,600 Masterpiece Derby

Ismael Quijada's Js Shezaquickchick defeated multiple stakes winner Mammy Jammer by three-quarters in the $21,600 Masterpiece Derby for 3-year-old Paint and Appaloosas. Under jockey Roman Cruz the sorrel filly stopped the timer in :17.863 seconds, a 91 speed index for 350 yards into a 7 mph headwind.

Cosme Quijada saddled the daughter of SF Royal Quick Dash to her fifth win in 17 starts. She earned $9,630 for the effort. Shirley Wheeler bred the winner in Oklahoma from the Cartel Success mare Cartel Chicken.

Mammy Jammer picked up $4,220 for second. Wl Hector Lives earned $3,129 for third.

Cuz Eyema Livewire, Spotted Wagon, Going Bye and Tales U Lose completed the field. This Wire Is Hot was scratched.

Dtl Hot Wired Scores In $14,000 Grade 2 Tulsa State Fair Stakes

Dtl Hot Wired, a 2-year-old son of Mhm Hotwire defeated Pike Pass by half-a-length in the $14,000 Tulsa State Fair Stakes(G2) on Saturday night at Fair Meadows.

Under jockey Cody Smith the bay gelding earned an 89 speed index after completing the 350 yards in :17.918 seconds. The winner's purse worth $8,130 pushed his bankroll to $39,400 after eight starts this year.

Ty Blackwell conditions the Oklahoma-bred gelding out of Shez Showin Off by SF Royal Quick Flash, for owner-breeders Dean and Tonya Lester.

Runner-up Pike Pass earned $2,710 and Candy Cartel who finished third picked up $1,491.

Carole Baskin, Wf High Gear, Getrekt By Vito, Chicks Livewire, Jess Shakem, Shez Wired Up and Wf Heart Throb completed the field.
