VINTON, LA—JULY 31, 2021—Racing Kane, under jockey Bobby Ransom, drew clear late then held off No Key Needed to win the $50,000 Live Oak Stakes by a head at Delta Downs Saturday afternoon. Freakin Patriot Dash finished 1-¼ lengths off the leaders to get third.

Racing Kane completed the 870 yards in :46.891 seconds to pocket the winner's purse valued at $30,000. It was the first win in three starts this season and ninth career win for the son of multiple stakes sire Jet Black Patriot.

Trainer Janet Loya conditions the 7-yaer-old gelding for owner Jesus Coronado. Janelle Simon bred Racing Kane from the Mr Jess Perry mare Ms Janas Perry. Winner of the Magnolia Stakes at Louisian Downs in 2020, he has earned $145,163.

Runner-up No Key Needed stepped up from running for a $10,000 tag on July 21st to earning $10,000 for finishing second in the Flashy Hemp. Anthony Arey trains the Azoom Me Too 6-year-old for owner-breeder Geral Dewitt. The $72,087 earner is out of Key To Your Dream by Tres Seis. Rolando Cabrera had the riding assignment.

Stakes winner Freakin Patriot Dash picked up $5,500 for third. Fructuoso Huitron trains the Game Patriot 6-year-old for owner Areli Gutierrez. Jockey Ubaldo Luna rode the Robert Touchet bred gelding from the Streak And Dash mare Freakin Dash. Freakin Patriot Dash has career earnings of $156,550.

Louisiana Flyboy, Streak Of Music, U R Jess Blue and Jess Louisiana Tee completed the Live Oak field.
