11-1 Bk Wildkat Upsets $30,200 KC Carden Wyoming Bred Derby at Wyoming Downs Sunday

EVANSTON, WY–JUNE 26, 2022–Getting away at 11-1, Bk Wildkat held off post time favorite and fastest qualifier Classic Dynasty Dash to win the $30,200 KC Carden Wyoming Bred Derby by a neck Sunday afternoon at Wyoming Downs.

Under jockey Julian Zavala Bk Wildkat got the first call dueled throughout to complete the 350 yards in :17.229 seconds, a 105 speed index. It was the second consecutive win in two starts this season for the daughter of multiple stakes sire Pappasito.

Trainer Riley Moosman conditions the 3-year-old filly for owner-breeder Bryce Moosman. Bred from the Maknmoves mare Lotta Kat Moves, Bk Wildkat has compiled a (10) 3-3-1 record and todays $13,892 winners' purse boosted her bankroll to $30,729.

Moosman also sent out runner-up Classic Dynasty Dash for owners Ron Moosman and Gordon Knudsen. Leading rider Jesus Valenzuela rode the multiple stakes winning Jr Dynasty Mountain gelding out of stakes winner Steffiesclassic Dash by Winners Version. The gelding used a late surge to get the $6,040 payday. Pushing his earnings total to $76,126. Ron and Laurie Moosman are the breeder.

Pieces Of Dynasty finished 1-1/2 lengths back in third to make it a Riley Moosman trained  tri-fecta. Also bred by Ron and Laurie Moosman, the daughter of Jr Dynasty Mountain races for owners Andrea and Eddie Jensen. Cesar Moreno rode the bay filly out of Bf Pieces Of April by First Prize Perry.  She earned $3,020 for the effort.

Bk Wildkat returned $22.60 to win, $5.20 to place and $4 to show.

Er Switching Mtns. The Witch Hunt, Western Dynasty, Er Movin Pappa and Pursuit Of Pappa completed the field.
