Last Year's Leading Third-Crop Sire Lota Pyc Sells

DECATUR, TX—AUGUST 1, 2020—Last year's Leading Third-Crop Sire Lota Pyc SI 102 has been purchased by Josh Harvey and Hadley Whiting and will stand the 2021 breeding season at Outlaw Equine near Decatur, Texas. His 2021 fee will be announced later.

Bred and raced by Steve Holt, Lota Pyc won or placed in eight of 12 career starts while earning $331,215. He won the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity and was a finalist in the Texas Classic Derby(G1) and Refrigerator Handicap(G1).

At 2, the son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon won his first four starts including the aforementioned Remington Park Futurity and his trial for the All American Futurity(G1).

From limited starters in four crops to race, Lota Pyc has sired 62 winner, 13 stakes horses (11%), earners in excess of $1.88 million with average earnings per starters of over $14,700.
