ELGIN, TX—JUNE 5, 2020—Sustaining payments for the 2020 $1 million-est. Texas Classic Futurity(G1) and the $400,000-est. Texas Classic Derby(G1) are due Monday, June 15.

A $400 payment is due June 15, 2020 to sustain American Quarter Horse foals of 2018 to the 2020 Texas Classic Futurity(G1). Trials will for the 400 yard race will be contested November 7 and the final will run back on November 28, 2020 at Lone Star Park.

A $400 payment is due June 15, 2020 to sustain American Quarter Horse foals of 2017 to the 2020 Texas Classic Derby. Trials will for the 440 yard race will be contested November 6 and the final will run back on November 28, 2020 at Lone Star Park.

Late nominations to both the Texas Classic Futurity(G1) and Texas Classic Derby(G1) may be made on or before June 15 for $32,000 plus all payments to date ($5,050). This is the final late nomination date. Horses who do not late nominate will be required to pay $50,000 supplemental nomination at time of entry to participate.

Nominators must be a current member of the TQHA at time of nomination, membership dues, if necessary, should be included with nomination.

Completed nomination blanks must be postmarked and mailed no later than January 15, 2020 to: Texas Quarter Horse Association, 14 N. Main, Suite B, Elgin, TX 78621.

The remaining 2020 payment schedule for the Texas Classic Series:

• June 15, 2020 / $400 – Late nomination $3,000 plus payments to date ($5,050)
• July 15, 2020 / $400
• At Time of Entry $1,200* - $50,000 Supplemental nominations + all fees due at "Time of Entry" to trials.
