Louisiana State Racing Commission Directive: Health Certificates, Coggins & Piroplasmosis

OCTOBER 22, 2024–NEW ORLEANS, LA–As promulgated during the Louisiana State Racing Commission meeting of October 17, 2024, stable gate entry requirements for the 2024 Evangeline Downs and the 2025 Louisiana Downs Quarter Horse meetings, for Quarter Horses arriving in Louisiana, after being out of state at any time within 60 days prior to entry, are as follows:

• An original Health Certificate from the point of origin issued
  within five (5) days prior to arrival at Evangeline Downs
  or Louisiana Downs;

• An original Coggins Test Result issued within thirty (30) days
  prior to arrival at Evangeline Downs or Louisiana Downs; and

• An original Equine Piroplasmosis (EP) Test Result issued
  within thirty (30) days prior to arrival at Evangeline Downs
  or Louisiana Downs.

If you are not shipping or moving your own horses, this information must be sent with the hauler. Horses will not be allowed to enter without the required certificates and test results. Pictures or signed inventory lists will not be accepted.

This Directive is effective from October 24, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
