Fdd Dreams Breaks 15-Year-Old Lone Star Park Track Record

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–OCTOBER 26, 2024–Multiple Grade 1-placed Fdd Dreams shattered the Lone Star Park 400-yard track record on Friday night while posting the fastest qualifying time for the Grade 1 $911,868 Texas Classic Futurity (see related story).

Jockey Luis Martinez rode the son of four-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty to 1-1/4 length victory in the fifth trial while covering the 400 yards in 19.196 seconds, a 108 speed index into a 4 mph headwind.

The previous record of 19.205 seconds was established by two-time champion and leading sire Tempting Dash in the November 28, 2009, $1,105,397 Texas Classic Futurity(G1).

Xavier E. Rodriguez trains the New Mexico bred gelding for owner-breeder La Feliz Montana Ranch, LLC. Bred from the Apollitical Jess mare Treasured Dreams, Fdd Dreams has compiled a (8) 4-2-1 record and earned $465,019.  He was second in the Rainbow Futurity(G1), third in the All American Futurity(G1) and a finalist in the West Texas Futurity(G2).

Fdd Dreams is a brother to Grade 1 Ruidoso Futurity finalist Elmer ($114,475 to 3, 2024). The second dam is Grade 3 winner Answer The Dream ($263,365), by Tres Seis. This is the family of Los Alamitos Oaks [G3] winner Dreams Devine, stakes winners Dreamsville ($274,577), Splendid Cause ($167,584) and Empty Arms ($45,480), etc.
