Rolling Still Vodka/Ponderosa Whiskey Official Sponsor Of Rainbow and All American Oaks In 2024

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–MAY 6, 2024–Ruidoso Downs Race Track welcomes their brand new sponsor Rolling Still Distillery, makers of Rolling Still Vodka and Ponderosa Whiskey, as the "Official Vodka and Whiskey" of the 2024 Racing Season, including sponsorship of the two major filly stakes events, the Rainbow Oaks and All American Oaks.

"The fact that Rolling Still is owned by two fabulous and highly competitive women makes sense for them to sponsor our two famous filly races," General Manager Ethan Linder said. "We are very excited for this new partnership with Rolling Still and will proudly be pouring their products at all of our bars and restaurants throughout the facility this season."

Rolling Still Distillery is owned by Nicole Barady and Liza Barrett, two longtime friends and business partners that describe themselves as "laid-back lady bosses." The two moms, with entrepreneurial and marketing backgrounds, founded Rolling Still Distillery in Taos, New Mexico in 2017.

"This is such a golden opportunity to sponsor these two major stakes races for fillies," Barady said. "When Ruidoso Downs approached us about the connection between our company’s ownership and the two major Oaks stakes events, we jumped at the chance to get involved. We are thrilled to be introducing our products to visitors at the race track with a splash this summer."

Rolling Still Distillery has a dynamic story to tell about the quality of their brands that begins in Northern New Mexico. The clear, crisp water that creates their products comes from the Phoenix Spring located at 9200’ high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Taos. This alpine water is made up of snowmelt and rainwater trapped in the La Cal Basin, which gives a distinctive taste and flavor to the vodkas and whiskey.

Nicole and Liza’s husbands, Dan and Scott, have also been long-time friends and support the ladies' business with hands-on expertise inside the distillery.  The two families also operate Rolling Still tasting rooms in downtown Taos and in Taos Ski Valley.

"Rolling Still continues to grow dramatically every year in our market share throughout the region and we’re proud to now be reaching into Texas," Barady said. "Our desire will be for racing fans from West Texas and throughout the region to try Rolling Still Vodka and Ponderosa Whiskey for the first time and hopefully become fans of our products while enjoying a day at the races."

Many customers that have enjoyed Rolling Still Distillery Vodka and Ponderosa Whiskey are curious about how Barady and Barrett came to create this unique brand. "All I can say is, it’s really about our journey," Barady said. "We’ve created something that both of us are very proud of—especially the quality of our products. In addition, having our brand available at a tourist destination like Ruidoso Downs gives us all a guaranteed great time!"
