So You Can See (#8) defeated F J La Joya (#3) and Princess Braytini (#10) in the AQRA President's Futurity at Turf Paradise Sunday.

Fales Homebred Filly Wins AQRA President's Futurity at Turf Paradise

PHOENIX, AZ—NOVEMBER 17, 2013—Ralph and Carolyn Fales' homebred filly So You Can See recovered from a bumpy start to get up by a neck over fastest qualifier F J La Joya in the $23,275 AQRA President's Futurity at Turf Paradise Sunday afternoon. Princess Braytini finished a neck off the leaders in the show position.

Under jockey Jorge Bourdieu, So You See completed the 350 yard course in :18.042 seconds into a 10 mph cross wind. The $11,638 winners purse swelled her career bankroll to $15,076.

Saddled by Ralph Fales So You See came into the finals with the second fastest time while breaking her maiden in the November 3 trials. The Azyoucansee filly is out of Rocky Jones mare Genuine Rocks.

The lightly raced F J La Joya bobbled the start and had to settle for a second place check of $4,655. Eloy Mendoza trains the Arizona-bred The Bounty Man filly for owner/breeder Fernando Canales. Ridden by Rodolfo Arvizu, the brown miss out of the Panther Mountain mare Terri Tazer.

Omar Lorta saddled third place finisher Princess Braytini for owner/breeder Cesar Dabdoub. Michael Lammarino rode the King Of The Track filly out of Braytini, by Corona Cocktail. She earned $2,328 for the effort.

Rocky Juana Baby, Righters Dream, Allright Already, Lasater, Bud For Kate, El Esterito and Heza Harley completed the field.
