HAZEL PARK, MI—AUGUST 11, 2017—Coming off a maiden win July 1 at Hazel Park, Toughdashingangel rolled to a one-length win in the $15,000 Hazel Park Futurity Friday night at Hazel Park in Minnesota.

Ridden by jockey Natasha Fritz, Toughdashingangel completed the 300 yards in :16.032 seconds to pick up the winners' purse of $9,000. Mallory Norton conditions the son of multiple stakes sire Dashair for owner Sylvia Tello.

Bred in Michigan by Ronnie Fisk, Toughdashingangel is out of the Timeto Get Tuff mare Tuff Ladys. He banked $16,345 in three starts this season.

Posttime favorite Got Sand In My Shoes earned $3,000 for her second-place effort. Anthony Cunningham saddled the daughter of Palm Beach for owners Craig Zeneberg and Pattie Marshall.

A finalist in the Gordon Mobley Futurity at Indiana Grand in June, the sorrel was bred by William Beyer from the Mr Eye Opener mare Carman Copy. She has earned $12,630.

Cunningham also saddled third-place finisher Blaines Captain for himself. Ridden by jockey Cesar Esqueda, the son of multiple stakes sire Captain Courage was bred in Oklahoma from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Bye Bye Blaine. Guy Pryor is the breeder. Blaine Captain earned $1,650 for the effort.

Lexi Cartel, Carolina Sizzler, Apollitical Deb and Clickerslittledasher completed the field.
