Cazzadores Game Winner In Live Oak Handicap
Cazzadores(#5) holds off Sochi Special(#4) and Barefoot Beach(#2) to win the $15,000 Live Oak Handicap Friday night at Retama Park.

Cazzadores Game Winner In Live Oak Handicap

RETAMA PARK, TX—AUGUST 11, 2017—Cazzadores, a 4-year-old son of Ragazzo, was a game winner Friday night when he defeated Sochi Special by a head in the $15,000 Live Oak Handicap at Retama Park. Barefoot Beach was another head back to finish third in a blanket finish.

Ridden by jockey Juan Vazquez, Cazzadores completed the 350 yards in :17.724 seconds, earning a 99-speed index into a 10-mph headwind.

Trained by Yasmine Fierro, the Texas-bred owned by Eleazar Martinez, Sr. and Abelardo Flores, Jr., has stepped up his game this season after starting for a $10,000 tag at Lone Park last fall.

Bred by Jorge Haddad, from the multiple stakes producing Corona Cartel mare Cindys First Cd, Cazzadores has compiled a (15) 4-3-1 record and used the $8,550 winners' purse to boost his earnings total to $34,439.

Leon Bard conditions runner-up Sochi Special for owner/breeder Pamela Stone. The daughter of multiple stakes sire Ivory James picked up $2,520 for second. The multiple stakes-placed filly is out of Rc Shake Em Blue by Royal Shake Em. She has earnings of $38,438. Francisco Calderon had the riding assignment.

Third-place finisher Barefoot Beach, also by Ivory James, races for owner Samuel Martinez and trainer Trey Ellis. Noe Villatoro rode the 4-year-old Texas-bred out of Babe On The Beach by Invisible Injun. A multiple stakes winner bred by Bobby Cox, Barefoot Beach has earned $97,475.

Completing the order of finish were Charm The Chief, Mighty Corona Jr, Scarface Cartel, Here Comes Callan, Zoomin Cat and Kraken Black.
