Hotsempting is a bay daughter of champion Tempting Dash trained by Sergio Ibarra for owners Miguel Y. Gallegos and Mauricio Gallegos. Hotsempting drew post 5 and will be ridden by Esgar Ramirez in the last of eight trials.
Uncle D made his 3-year-old season debut with a second-place finish in a 400-yard Ruidoso Derby trial on May 24. A Corona Cartel colt trained by Clint Crawford for owner Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC, Uncle D won three of his four outs during the 2019 Ruidoso Downs meet, including the 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) and 440-yard, $200,000 All American Juvenile Stakes.
Uncle D drew post 5 and will be ridden by Cody Smith in the second heat.
Love Is Everything V won three stakes during the 2020 Remington Park spring meet, including the 350-yard, $233,000 Oklahoma Derby (G3) in May. A sorrel son of One Valiant Hero, the gelding is trained by Eddie D. Willis for owner James E. Sills.
Love Is Everything V drew post 6 and will be ridden by Jimmy Brooks in the third trial.
The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the July 18, $500,000-est. Rainbow Derby final.
